The Osceola County Democratic Party seeks to inform and engage all local Democrats. We also welcome all unaffiliated voters who share our belief that government should work for the common good and who would like to learn more about our local party.

The Osceola County Democratic Party has its recent monthly meeting in a new venue, the Marion District Library. The meeting was attended by twenty-four engaged, committed, and enthusiastic members. Our membership includes a diverse array of patriotic citizens including military veterans, farmers, and active as well as retired blue and white collar professionals including scientists and educators.
Under the steady stewardship of our Chair, Tracy Nichols Busch, our ranks have grown, enabling us to become a force for good in our community as evidenced by our participation in Adopt-a-Highway, and fundraising efforts for our local Animal Shelter and Food Bank. We have enthusiastically participated in community events such as the 4th of July parade, meet and greets, and have hosted a booth at the Evart Farmer’s Market.
Of course we will always advocate for progressive causes, and hold our elected representatives accountable as evidenced by our participation in the February 28th protest at Congressman Moolenaar’s office in Clare. We will continue to oppose the draconian and anti-democratic policies of the Trump administration. We are proud to be Osceola County Democrats and we invite all our Osceola County residents to join us!
The State of Michigan occupies the ancestral, traditional and contemporary lands of the Anishinaabek - Three Fires Confederacy, the Odawa (Ottawa), Ojibwa (Chippewa), and Bode’wadmi (Potawatomi).
The Michigan Democratic Party recognizes historic Indigenous communities in Michigan, and those who were forcibly removed from their homelands.
We further recognize the ongoing relationship of dependence upon, and respect for, all living beings of earth, sky and water.
In offering this land acknowledgement we affirm Indigenous sovereignty, history and experiences.

America is a democracy by and for the people.
The founding documents demand Freedom, Justice, and Opportunity for all Americans.
The duty of government is to make the ideals of Freedom, Justice, and Opportunity a reality for all.
We support the goal of a balanced budget, quality public education, access to affordable health care, and protecting our natural resources.
We are proud patriots who value our community, with all of its diversity. We believe in bringing people together to solve problems, to promote the common good, and to make our community a better place for all.
We believe in our community, not just those people who think like us, and we believe in building our future.
